Can anyone tell us if when a letter for six month termination has been sent in the correct way by a solicitor to the management company and was accepted, At the end of the six month period the company say no agreement has been reached, re compensation can they legally still use your house. While negotiations are still going on. As we feel when six month notice is given the house should not be used until an agreement is reached.  The management company fail to responed to emails or phone calls from either ourselves or our solicitor.  The managment company continue to rent out our property.

If your solicitor is worth his/her fee they should be able to tell you...what did he/she say?

He has said nothing yet, we are going through a third party which isn't good what should have been straight forward has now become a nightmare and has become very complicated. The solicitor doesn't speak English.

Hi we're going through exactly the same thing at the moment. We served our notice on 31.12.16, effective from 30.6.17. MV did acknowledge our request for termination and we are still trying to negotiate our exit indemnity. Our Avocat says that MV are completly within their rights to continue to rent out our property until the exit penalty has been agreed and paid. Any rental income that they are currently earning by continuing to rent out our property will be offset against whatever we agree to pay them :(  Apparently this period is 2 years (not usre whether that is 2 years from Dec 16 or June 17)  Our avocat is getting fed up because they are so hard to get hold of. We are annoyed by their presumption that they keep on using our villa while dragging their feet at talking to us. - I guess this suits them best so they've no interest in reaching any deal at the moment.

Hi Caroline, It sounds as if we are both in the same postion with the same management company. We are in the village same place as you, are you in the village or the domaine? Very fed up with it all at the moment wish we had never bought the house. Our solicitor is dealing with things for us but getting no where, M/V won't come to an agreement. The reception has been told to fill our house. We find it all very fustrating,  I have been told that a lot of people have put in exit letters, so it isn't suprising it isn't working for us. I am sure we are not the only ones in this position. Do you have an email.
