Owners refused access to their own properties and denied their own keys

2 Janvier 2018

Eurogroup Vacances are currently taking a hard line on owners who decide to use their own properties outside of the “season” when Eurogroup staff are not on site. They claim owners have no right to occupy their properties at this time and have gone on to claim that owners should not even have their own keys to their properties. Not sure why, after over 10 years of this agreement, Eurogroup are now being so nasty about this (they even changed the locks to one home when the owner said they would still come in November after being told they could not use their home at this time!).

Anyone get sold their leaseback through Assetz UK?

9 Novembre 2017

Hi all,

I bought my property in Les Deux Alpes back in 2006 and dealt with this through a UK agency the details of which I no longer have and surprisingly (or not) they dont seem to exist any more. Did anyone else buy from this agency and if so would you have any details on them? I need this info to submit my complaint to CPCC.

Thanks in advance all,

/martina

Selling the whole residence

9 Octobre 2017

Hi,

I was talking to agents in France who have investors interested in purchasing residences as a whole unit. They transform the property into social housing.

The advantage for current owners is that they sell at the local property market value. They don't care of the state of the property.

The disadvantage, you could have to pay compensation to management in place, and pay percentage of VAT back.
