Irish/UK Petition to EU

Hi,

a previous member linked to the French petition set up (I think) by the FNAPRT.

However, I think we need our own petition to represent us and have set one up.

I'm calling on the EU to address the issues with these leases and due to the mis-selling involved, to remove the requirement for reclaim of VAT and remove any requirement to pay eviction compensation - at a minimum. I am also calling on the Irish financial regulator to involve itself in the sale of these 'investments'.

You can find it at:    https://www.change.org/p/eu-french-government-justice-for-hood-winked-owners-of-french-leaseback-properties

Please take a few moments to sign it. That's all it will take.

You can hide your email address if you prefer.

In order to get political focus on the issues we need to demonstate numbers affected - that it's not just a few people.

All feedback welcome.

Hi Sinead,  I signed the petition since I received the email link this morning. I've also sent it to my email contact list and have asked my daughters to get their friends to sign it also.  The quality of their lives has been affected by the whole debacle. I hope everyone on this forum will rally behind it. The changes we are looking for are just and reasonable after all. Happy New Year to all.

Great - thanks Argent.

Yes, whole families have been affected by this issue and it has gone unrecognised and those involved in promoting and propping it up have remained unaccountable.

Hi SineadHi Sinead. I have sent a link to the petition to our owners asscoiation for the leaseback we own in the Alps. Thank you for setting this up. I really hope we can get lots of people to sign it.

Hi Sinead, I have signed the petition and you deserve great credit for taking the initiative to do this.  Leaseback has been a nightmare for so many.   I have shared it on Facebook with almost 4,200 people, in Ireland, one or two in France and I sincerely wish all of us Leasebackers success in this endeavour.   Please keep us posted.

Hi Sinead,

We have signed this and also some of our other owners in our development that I copied in.

great - thanks!

Thanks Sinead- yes we signed the petition and got some more owners in our development to sign as well. Thanks for setting thi up.

Our compensation is only 1quarters rent so not bad this was re-negotatied after the Sauveguard of the comapny.

The solicitor has written asking for a response to the baliffs notices issued last May, as its half term we don't expect a response til March.

3 options-

1.  They remain to ignore us - off to court we go

2. They agree

3. They challenge the termination - off to court we go

We wait and see

A combination of 1 and 3 - they will ignore you and then take you to court - do not get your hopes up by their silence - these Companies have been scamming punters for 2 decades - they are well versed in the art of extracting your hard earned cash - sorry to be so pesimistic but I am becoming a realist
