Replacement Acte de Vente Hypotheque

Hi, we are considering selling our leaseback in Beaune in Burgundy so trying to put the paperwork together.

We do not have the Acte de Vente Hypotheque but have been told that for something like just €12 we can get a replacement but not sure about who we approach

Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi Pete,

You need to contact the French Notary public who has signed your purchase. You must have at lease a contact, telephone number, email, etc,... to contact their offices and request a copy of the deeds.

The original deeds are kept in Notary offices for life. You got an original copy at the purchase normally. Sometimes they are not sent though.

The copy may cost more than €12.
