Taxe Professionnelle

Is taxe professionnelle payable by private owners of leaseback properties?

Hello, to answer in your question yes in theory tax pro is to be paid but certain city does not ask for it.
Concerant the land(basic) tax a part(party) is exempted during 2 years on the condition of filling(performing) the form H2.

Dear seamus

As you know from our previous correspondence, I have been paying Taxe Professionnelle for three years and have just read your latest mail. Would you please mail me the full report you have from the tax authourity. I think I have already received it from you once and have sent it to the tax office but they still insist it must be paid by all leaseback owners.

I bought a leaseback studio in Paris 2 yeqrs ago. I was told at the time that Taxe Professionnelle was not payable by private owners. Unfortunately this has turned out to be untrue. I have paid a total of nearly 2000 euros in Taxe Proffessionnelle over the last two years. I have also paid Taxes Fonciere when we were told that we were exempt for two years.

We have been told by the French Tax Authorities, our accountants and everyone else that we have approached, that these taxes must be paid. Anyone else out there with similar experiences?
