Anyone thinking of going to this in January and asking awkward questions on any of the stands selling Leaseback ?
Can't imagine it would get you anywhere except a little satisfaction.

Thanks to all of you who have sent me their details by PM
What would you all like me to do with this info? I suggest that I split the
info into the various residences and email the info to the owners at
each location. Is everyone happy with this?
I can also keep a master database that we can use to circulate general
info eg the MEP letter once that is ready to go forward.

Hi, see below of draft letter that can be sent to mep's. Please DO NOT SEND yet as trying to get as many people to send at sametime for maximum benefit. We need hundreds at least for meps to take any notice.
Will advise when to send out and who to - 2 mep's dealing with relevant issues, your own local mep and your local mp
please email me on dianabryce@hotmail.co.uk if you wish to be included in the mail out

Hi,
Has any one ever spoken to a lawyer about the banks taking action against the management companies rather than us?
The banks were fully aware of the structure and granted the loans based on the rental income, far more than on the ability to repay.
I just wondered if it is viable to set up a thread to log which banks have given out the mortgages and then target the banks to deal with the management companies.
It looks like our management company is going to offer us a chance to get out of the lease early as they cannot pay our rent. We are very keen to do this so we can hopefully generate and control our own income. Our major concern is paying back the VAT if we do this but we have read with interest that we may not have to do this if we continue to rent via a local management company. We would love some advice if anyone has done this successfully, accountants, lawyers used etc. Also if anyone can recommend someone who can help set up our webpage to advertise our apartment, that would be great.
Hi all
we had problems last year and lost some of our rental payment. We have been
offered extra usage to the end of our lease as compensation. Are we liable for
VAT payments on this? The usage is instead of rental payment so I am guessing
we are.
Also can someone clarify - if we have a mortgage and other costs, does this then
get offset against our VAT payment?
thanks!
Hi all,
We are still waiting for our rentals to be paid for our appartment in the west coast.
The management company told us that they had "cash flow problems" and that the payment will be delayed.....It's been now 6 months that we are waiting for our money to be paid...
Hi All,
I bought an off plan leaseback in Normandy in 2010. Unforunately the builder has gone bust and the leasback company with it. This after having drawn down 80% of my mortgage but completing none of the building works. So I have been left with a mortgage effectively on a plot of land with no sight of any rental income. I am seriously considering not paying the mortgage but am worried as do have property assts in the Uk. Has anyone else simply stopped paying the mortgage and have they been legally chased?
Thanks
Paul
Hi All,
just wondering if there are any of you out there that have had a pretty much hassle free time with your leaseback? We have had our share of hassle with ours, and this forum for the last while seems to have post after post of management companies not paying rent, going bust etc.
It would be nice to hear that someone is doing ok with their leaseback to give us all hope.

I HAVE A LEASEBACK 50 / 50 WITH A COLLEAGUE. THE COMPANY THAT PAYS US HAS NOT DONE SO FOR APRIL AND WE HAVE RECEIVED EMAILS SAYING THEY HAVE FINANCIAL PROBLEMS. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO WE CAN CONTACT TO SEE WHERE WE STAND LEGALLY ON THIS ? THE PROPERTY IS UP FOR SALE BUT POTENTIAL BUYERS ARE PUT OFF BY THE LEASEBACK. COULD WE SELL THE PROPERTY AS 'VACANT POSSESSION' IF THE COMPANY HAVE DEFAULTED ON THEIR PAYMENTS TO US ?
