There are some scary stories on leasebacks here which is making me think twice, but does anyone have any suggestions of good (city) leasebacks available at present?

I own a couple of leasebacks - 1 in the alps & 1 at Sophia Antipolis and I'm thinking of buying again.
Although the leasebacks are doing well, it has been suggested to me that reselling is difficult and I should look at reversions - does anyone have experience of these??
I understand what they are and how they work, but are they a good idea for the private investor?

Hi, it seems from reading the posts that the management company is a most crucial element in the future success of the leaseback. Could anyone advise if they have experence of dealing with the Clinipole/Elior Group who will be managing a leaseback we are interested in in Palavas sur Flot?

Ok! What do we know about this new law regarding not having to repay the VAT discount when selling within the initial lease period? I've been searching various sites on the internet and find many conflicting reports. Although most sites say you don't have to repay it, many are saying that you will pay it in a different way by having to reduce the sale price by the amount of outstanding VAT.
I've had enough of this whole leaseback con and want to get shot of mine as soon as possible so any advice on this will be appreciated. Any ideas on this please?
Can anyone advise what exactly this is? If so, what are the benefits of setting one up, how do you go about it, and any idea of cost? Thank you.

The (11 year) commercial lease we have been offered as part of a ski apartment leaseback in the French Alps is supposedly indexed to the French Construction Index (CCI). However, there is no rental increase until yr6, and then annual increases are capped at 1%. This is way below what the CCI annual increase has been recently. Is this typical - what annual increase are you achieving/been offered?
I bought my leaseback three years ago and had a three year tax return by SARL Gefi built in.I have never received any copies of the returns from them.Has anyone dealt with SARL Gefi or have an e-mail address for them.Also,does anyone know if there is a way to get your details from the French Tax Office.

I have a 38 square metre top floor apartment in Paris, St Denis with a double width balcony and underground parking space. The rent is paid regular at 1930 euros a quarter and has been for over 2 years, a Metro station will be opened with 1000 metres by 2012.
I want to sell, can anyone point me where to go and who to use, what I might expect to sell for? Will selling with the lease intact cause problems, restrict buyers?
