A useful article and advice on the French Leaseback scam. I pretty much agree with all he says:

For information when you serve a CDP through a bailiff , all the legal fee are entirely recoverable by you .
Once your rental company will pay your rent ,they will also have to pay the legal fee...
So do not hesitate a minute to get your money back !!!
Contact a bailiff ....Most of them speak english !!!

I was forced in to agreeing to take lower rent last year for my apartment and was just sent a 2 page piece of paper written in English saying the rent would now be 35% lower which I was to sign and send back to the Management Company . It also said that the rest of the lease would remain the same . Does anyone know if this piece of paper could be legal or not as all the other lease papers etc., are in French and nothing in English . I cannot find an Irish Solicitor to tell me if it is legal or not ?
Thanks

Hello! Does anyone know if leaseback properties will count as 'second properties' when UK stamp duty is calculated from April onwards?
I am starting a new thread on this whole issue again:
Two simple questions to the many hundreds/thousands of people who I know read this forum:
1. Are there any owners out there who have now concluded legal proceedings in France (or elsewhere)
alleging fraud/mis-selling during the sales process or at some stage thereafter ?.
Hi,
wondering what other owners in leaseback resorts pay in Syndic charges (common area charges) ?
Also, wondering how water charges are handled at other resorts ?
Our charges are circa €1,984 for 2016.
This is for a Syndic that has no buildings whatsoever. No pools, no electric gates, no lifts..
